I know that’s easy for a stranger to say, but its true none the less, and I‘m sorry to hear about your uncle too. I clicked through and read Alstons blog from time to time. I only commented once or twice, but it was interesting to read. I had to go to a funeral a while back for a woman I worked with years ago and her grandson read out a poem by Joyce Grenfell during the service, the last lines of which were; ‘Cry if you must, parting is hell, But life goes on, so sing as well’ I know that you must have shed many tears since he passed away, but I hope you’ve been able to ‘sing’ too, and as the anniversary passes and the years progress, I hope you’ll find it easier to smile when you think of him. As for another friend like Alston - well, everyone is unique so there’ll never be anyone exactly like him, but I’ll bet you have plenty of friends who care about you just as much as he did or perhaps more so. Friends who will listen, give advice, or just be there for you if you need them. Different friends but still great friends. Take care and try to ‘sing’. I’m very sorry for your loss. Worker out pour worker out, c'est platte a mourir. Va prendre une marche 3-4 soirs /semaine. Fais du bicycle. Prends un cours de danse (coche c'te case-la). Trouve une piscine pas loin de chez toi. Si t'es vraiment poignee a faire des "workout", emmene un ipod avec pas de la musique, mais des podcasts qui te font rire, ou au moins sourire. C'est le sourire la partie du corps la plus seductrice.
